Why are you rebranding?
If you’re a Cocofloss fan and you’ve been following us for a while, you know we’re about much more than floss. We’re about building smiles for life with dentist-designed products that are as effective at cleaning your teeth as they are brightening your day. To fulfill that vision, we’ve created a toothbrush, toothpaste, and (hint) much more to build a holistic smile care system and a Brighter Every Day for all smiles. Our Cocofloss name doesn’t do the best job conveying all that. So, we’re changing it.
What’s changing?
We’re changing our name, logo, colors, and have completely overhauled our imagery to be more inclusive and representative of YOU — the heartbeat of our brand— and our mission of creating that dentist-level clean and shine so we can all be brighter every day.
What’s not changing?
Even though a lot about our look is changing, we’re doubling down on our mission to build healthy smiles for life because we believe oral care and overall well-being are one and the same. Some other things that are staying the same: - Our ownership — we’re still sister-run and fun! Dr. Chrystle Cu and Cat Cu are our leaders and our dental and HQ teams are staying the same. We wouldn’t be who we are without our amazing people. - Science-based and data-backed products, designed by our co-founder dentist, Dr. Chrystle Cu. - Our product formulas and designs! Yes the outer packaging is getting a refresh, but the floss design, the toothbrush bristles, the toothpaste formula — everything you know and love is staying the same. - Our dedication to sustainable packaging and clean, non-toxic formulas without compromising performance. - A sense of joy and fun and absolute radical love for everything oral care. - Memorable designs you want to show off (we like to call it “MoMa-Ready.”) - Results, like our nHA-powered Cocoshine Whitening Toothpaste that whitens up to 2 shades in 1 week of brushing and helps to strengthen enamel. - Our commitment to our customers, our dental community, and bringing more joy to the world.
Why “Cocolab”?
“Cocofloss” became our name because we started off with one product — our amazing, cult-favorite, dentist-approved woven floss with a plaque-scrubbing texture like no other. Over the years with our goal of building a holistic smile care system, we expanded our product line to include Cocobrush, Cocoshine Whitening Toothpaste, and (hint) more to come! It all starts with an innovative idea from our co-founder, Dr. Chrystle Cu and then we put it to the test again and again until we get it right. It’s really a lab-tested, science-driven approach with that spark of curiosity that we’re striving for. Here’s what it embodies: Innovative oral-care solutions. It’s an actual lab — everything we make is designed by a dentist (our co-founder Dr. Chrystle Cu) and then tested and trialed before we give it the greenlight. For us, it’s performance first, always. MoMa-Ready designs. It’s a joy lab — In a world where oral care is unsexy and flossing is absolutely boring, we’ve created a world where oral care elicits feelings of joy — where the flavor-bombiest of flavors energize and enliven the senses, with eye-catching designs that feel ready to show off in your home. A greatly anticipated self-care treatment is how we see our SmileCare System™. Sustainable mindset. It’s an eco lab — our packaging, our products, how we do things, it all comes down to keeping the planet’s biome as healthy as our own oral microbiomes. We’re constantly testing new, eco-conscious solutions in the form of recycled plastic, recycled paper, reusable containers, plus compostable and upcycled materials to reduce our footprint on this world.
What does this rebrand mean for you?
All good things! You can expect the same great results from the same great products you know and love. The only difference is everything has gotten a refreshed look that better represents the work we do and the joy we infuse in everyone’s lives. We’ve changed our name and branding, but the products themselves and our customer experience won’t change a bit.
When will I see these new changes?
You’ll get to see our new brand come to life officially in January 2025. In the meantime, you’ll start seeing small, rolling changes, communications, and popups explaining what’s to come so nothing is a surprise.
Will I need to update any of my profile settings online?
No, all of your previous settings will remain just as you have them currently.
Is there anything I need to do as a result of this change?
Nope! No action required. All purchase orders and other transactional communications from us will remind you to make note of our new company name.
Has my point of contact changed?
No. You will continue to be supported by the same contacts. Our employees will have new email addresses so you should update your records to reflect this and add our new domains — cocolab.com / pro.cocolab.com – to your contacts list so we can continue to stay in touch. Don’t worry if you send something to one of our old email addresses, we will still receive it.
Can I still connect with you on social media?
Yes! We’ll be updating our social media channels to reflect our new name. Look out for notifications on those channels.

No. We’ll be rebranding them to include our new company logo.
Will you still be making Cocofloss?
Yes! Cocofloss is our hero, flagship product and we’ll always have it. It’s the reason we were founded, and flossing is still the #1 most effective way to remove plaque at home.

Still curious?
